Event Space

Inspired by our farm, we decided to create a space that we could share with other passionate creatives, chefs and friends. This space, we affectionately call the "The Atrium." It is a beautiful gallery space with double volume windows overlooking our 25 year old liquid amber trees. Massive custom glass barn doors greet you as you enter the Atrium. From there it is a quick walk to our certified organic Pomegranate orchard and food forest. So whether you want to host an event for 30 of your closest friends or curate an inspiring workshop, surrounded by a boutique organic farm, you have arrived at the right place!  


Your imagination is your only limitation. We have purposefully kept the Atrium as an open canvas for your event. We have hosted everything from Secret Suppers, to food bloggers, wedding photographers, massive film crews all the way to small brand launches. What makes our event Atrium so unique? It's not only a beautiful space to host your event, but you also have access to a stunning organic farm in the middle of Johannesburg! Below are some of the brands and fans that have filmed or shot on our farm.




Our farm is run on family rules! Clean up after yourself. Setting up and cleaning up for your shoot or event must be done within the amount of time you have booked. Please book more than your “shoot or event time” to make sure you are in and out on-time. We have multiple bookings on one day so please don't arrive earlier than booked. If your event is running late, additional time can be added to your slot booked if we don't have a booking after you. Overtime is charged at R2000 / hour or part thereof. Breakages and cleaning fee is for your account. If the studio is not left as found then a cleaning fee of R500 will be enforced. 


Full payment is required to secure a booking. If you cancel 14 days before the booking, 50% will be refunded. 7 - 14 days, 15% of your booking will be refunded. Under 7 days before booking there is no refund on payment. We are happy to offer you a transfer of your appointment to another time, Rescheduling must be done at least 2 weeks prior to your booking.

Q: Where are you actually situated?
A: We are in the Muldersdrift area in Johannesburg. Type "Ganico" into Google Maps to see our exact location.

Q: Does the pricing include all access to the farm and not just the event space?
A: Yes, the whole farm will be available to you! We have the Atrium space, an outside grass circle enclosed by 25 year old Liquid Amber trees and of course our organic Pomegranate orchard will be available to you. 

Q: What happens if my event runs overtime?
A: We will charge a rate of R2000 per hour for overtime. Unless we have another event booked straight after you, then we unfortunately cannot allow your event to carry on. But we will notify you...so don't stress. We will make sure you have booked enough time to enjoy yourselves. 

Q: Does this pricing include catering?
A: No, but we can offer catering at an additional cost if you require it. Just speak to us and we can make a plan. (Our harvest tables are AMAZING!)

Q: What if I want to do something crazy on your farm?
A: Awesome! You are our kind of people! Lets chat!

Q: Can I use my own catering and bring my own drinks?
A: Of course! If you don't feel like the hassle we can also cater to your needs.

Q: Can we use the Atrium and the rest of the farm during our hourly rate?
A: Of course! The whole farm as well as the Atrium is at your disposal

Q: What hours is the farm open for photoshoots?
A: 7AM-5PM Monday-Thursday and 7AM-2PM Friday-Saturday. The Atrium is a natural light studio, so we suggest to book during daylight hours. If you do have a specific time in mind outside our normal working hours, let us know.

Q: Can I play music during my photoshoot?
A: Yes! We do have a Bluetooth speaker in the Atrium for your use.

Q: Are we allowed to rearrange the furniture in the Atrium?
A: Yes! We only ask that you carefully move the furniture and put them back the way you found them. 

Q: Can we shoot video in the Atrium and on the farm?
A: No problem! Make it awesome!

Q: When can I arrive & when do I need to exit?
A: Remember, set up and tear down time are included in your allocated time - so please plan to unload, set up, tear down, and exit within your time limit so we can facilitate the next booking. If we have no other bookings, we are able to extend your booking.

Q: Can animals be on site during a shoot?
A: Yes, but not on the farm, due to health and safety regulations. We are a working farm. Please pick up any poop your pet may have left. :)

Q: Are we able to paint your wall a different colour for the shoot?
A: Yes, but we will be adding a fee for this, and it must be painted back to the same original colour once your shoot has finished. 

Q: Can we do a recce before the shoot?
A: You are most welcome!

Q: Can I host my event in the Atrium and have welcome drinks outside the Atrium?
A: Of course! We recommend having some welcome drinks by our Liquid Amber trees, then move into the Atrium. The whole farm is available for you to use.

Q: What kind of events can I host?
A: We designed the Atrium and the rest of the space to be able to accommodate anything your imagination throws at it. From small creative workshops to big dinner parties and culinary celebrations. Contact us so we can plan your next amazing event with you.

Q: Do I have to use your prefered suppliers?
A: We have a few, so ask us who we recommend. If you have someone you want to use for your catering or setup, you are most welcome to use them.

Q: What is the maximum amount of guests I can host?
A: If you want to seat all your guests then 50 is the maximum. If the guests will be standing we allow up to 100.

Q: Do you provide any tables?
A: Yes we do. But these will come at an additional cost, depending on the size of your party.
